VBS Snacks: Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies

So this is definitely my new go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe. (Sorry, back of the nestle chocolate chips bag - you are out). I have made these cookies at least 5 times this summer, and every time, they are just so good! There's a post about them from a while back (the first time I made them), minus the gushing about the goodness, because I didn't realize then that these would be the new best ever cookies! So, if you want to make the BEST chocolate chip cookies, either click here for the original recipe, which makes about 6 dozen cookies (yikes!) or use this half recipes, which makes about 3 dozen...

Here's what you will need:
  • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips - I like to use M&M's and mini chocolate chips...About this many:  

Here's the rest of the recipe, taken from the original recipe, just split in half to make less cookies.

    1. Preheat oven to 350. Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside. (Optional, I never do the sifting).
    2.  In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and M&M's.
    3. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
    4. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Edges should be golden brown.
